Connally’s Views: In the ongoing poll of who has what to say about the controversial movie “JFK,” former Texas governor John Connally--who was seriously wounded in the assassination of John F. Kennedy--says director Oliver Stone “went too far. At one time or another in the film, he involves the CIA, the FBI, the Secret Service, the military, the Warren Commission, President Johnson and the Mafia. This is ludicrous.” Connally said he and Stone agree on one point. They don’t believe the Warren Commission’s single bullet theory, which states that Connally may have been wounded by the same bullet that struck the President. The then-Texas governor was sitting in the limousine when Kennedy was killed in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. Connally was hit by a bullet that traveled through his torso, wrist and leg.
