Thief Takes Car, $2 Billion in Bonds: A thief stole a car and $2 billion worth of bonds in the Wall Street area, but police said the bonds were non-negotiable, or just paper to the person who drove off with them. The car belonged to a Morgan Guaranty Trust employee, Yvonne Hughes, who picked up the clearinghouse bonds about 2 a.m., said police Detective Louis Llanes. Hughes stopped outside a delicatessen, leaving the car running and the key in the ignition, while she went inside the store, Llanes said. She emerged to find the car gone and had no idea who took it, he said.
