Ventura County sheriff’s deputies arrested three Oxnard residents on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, authorities said Friday.

In addition, six people who arrived at a house in the 2000 block of J Street during the drug raid were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, Sgt. Arnie Aviles said.

Deputies received a tip about drug sales at the house and watched it for about a month before getting a search warrant Thursday night, Aviles said.

Authorities searched the house at about 7 p.m. and found 31 packets of heroin and six packets of cocaine, Aviles said. While deputies were searching, the couple who own the house, Miguel and Tomasa Quiles, arrived and were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, Aviles said.

Alejandro Gonzalez, 24, of Oxnard, also came to the house while deputies were there and was arrested on suspicion of possessing and selling drugs, Aviles said.

Over two hours, six other people came to the house and were arrested, Aviles said.

“It was a brisk business,” Aviles said. About six other people showed up but were not under the influence of drugs. They were questioned and released, Aviles said.

“Sometimes if it’s a busy house, you just keep arresting people as they come in, and you end up with a whole truckload of people,” Sgt. Ken Warren said.

Aviles said about half a dozen televisions, videocassette recorders and jewelry also were found in the house. “They were taking stolen property in exchange for drugs,” Aviles said.

Miguel Quiles, 39, and Tomasa Quiles, 37, are being held in lieu of $250,000 bail each at Ventura County Jail and are scheduled to be arraigned Monday. Gonzalez also is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail and will be arraigned Monday.
