4 Are Injured in House Fire in Garden Grove
An early-morning house fire Monday sent three firefighters and a homeowner to the hospital with minor injuries.
Duane Young, 53, owner of a house in the 8800 block of La Grand Avenue, was taken to Garden Grove Hospital and Medical Center, where he was treated for smoke inhalation, according to Battalion Chief Ted Just of the Garden Grove Fire Department.
Three firefighters also suffered minor injuries and were taken to the same hospital. They were treated and released.
An electrical outlet in a bedroom caused the blaze shortly before 4:30 a.m., Just said. The fire took half an hour to extinguish and caused an estimated $80,000 in damage, he said.
