Freeway Extension Threatens Charm of South Pasadena
It just boggles my mind that some people can be so unthinking in regard to the extension of Interstate 710. Perhaps you think I live in South Pasadena, and therefore would naturally oppose it.
No, I live in Alhambra, the same city that passes propositions to build a new police station across the street from the high school, just to mention one blunder.
Alhambra has lost too much of its charm over the years, and may South Pasadena never have to lose that charm. It is a beautiful city with its quaint shops, historic homes and older buildings. To cut a freeway extension through all this would be nothing short of a crime.
Remembering Winston Churchill’s immortal words, South Pasadena, never surrender!
