Lorge was booked on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol, a CHP spokesman said.

The two men were traveling south on Tapo Canyon Road, north of Presidio Drive in Simi Valley about 1:20 a.m when Lorge lost control of the car, which ran off the road, the CHP said.

CHP officials said they have not yet determined how fast Lorge was driving at the time of the accident.
