* McDonnell Douglas Corp. said it hired former Midway Airlines Chairman David Hinson as executive vice president of marketing and business development for all commercial activities at its Douglas Aircraft Co. unit.
Hinson, 58, will be responsible for leading market development and sale of all McDonnell Douglas jetliners, which include the MD-80 and MD-90 twin jets, the MD-11 wide-body and the MD-12 jumbo jet expected to be launched this year.
Hinson succeeds Russell Ray Jr., who left McDonnell Douglas to become president of Pan American World Airways.
