ORANGE : Kemp to Speak at Chapman Dinner
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Jack Kemp will speak at Chapman University’s 13th Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony next week at the Doubletree Hotel.
The program--on Feb. 11--honors former Chapman University athletes for their athletic achievements and community service.
Kemp, who played 13 years as a professional football quarterback before being elected to Congress, will speak on the importance of college athletics. He was appointed to President Bush’s Cabinet in 1989.
The fund-raising event includes a reception, dinner and ceremony. Tickets begin at $100 and all proceeds will go toward scholarships for future Chapman University athletes. For more information, call (714) 532-6074.
