World decathlon champion Dan O’Brien won the 55-meter hurdles (7.2 seconds) and the high jump (7-0 1/2) Saturday night at the Oregon Indoor track meet in Portland.
American record-holder Gail Devers won the women’s 55-meter dash (6.83) and set a meet record in the 55-meter hurdles (7.58).
The World Championship silver medalist from Palmdale, Calif., said she decided to run only a couple of days ago after taking some time off.
“I was looking for a race,” Devers said. “I’m taking it slow and looking for technique for the outdoors.”
Nigerian Davidson Ezinwa won the men’s 55-meter dash in 6.27. The 20-year-old Azusa Pacific student defeated his brother Osmond (6.36).
