Cuba and Western Somoa have withdrawn from the 1994 World Cup, soccer’s governing body announced.

FIFA officials will meet Wednesday to discuss the withdrawal of Western Somoa, which was with Australia and the Solomon Islands in Oceania Group One. New Zealand, Fiji, Tahati and Vanuatu are in Group Two and officials said it was possible that the region would have a new draw.

Cuba, in the North and Central American and Caribbean region, was scheduled to play the winner of a pre-preliminary round match between St. Lucia and St. Vincent.
