Jordan Fined, Suspended for One Game
Michael Jordan was suspended for the first time in his career and fined $5,000 for bumping an NBA official in the Chicago Bulls’ triple-overtime loss Monday night to the Utah Jazz at Salt Lake City.
Jordan was suspended for one game. The Bulls played the Suns on Wednesday night in Phoenix without him and lost, 126-114.
Jordan was ejected with half a second to play after protesting a foul call against him that sent Jeff Malone to the line for the winning free throws.
The suspension cost Jordan one game’s pay, equal to about $40,000.
