Car Hits, Kills Pedestrian on Harbor Blvd.
ANAHEIM —
A 55-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a car on Harbor Boulevard on Thursday morning.
Alfonso Saltado Ortiz of Anaheim was struck by a northbound car at 6:18 a.m., Police Sgt. Harold Parkison said.
Police, called by a passerby, found Ortiz’s body in a northbound lane near the Riverside Freeway. Paramedics took Ortiz to Anaheim Memorial Hospital, where he died at 6:47 a.m., Parkison said.
The driver of the car said he did not see the pedestrian, Parkison said. He was not cited.
An investigation is continuing.
