NATIONAL ROUNDUP : Haunting, Grecian Pass Win Aqueduct Features

Haunting and Grecian Pass won the split divisions of the Rare Treat Handicap at Aqueduct on Saturday.

Haunting, ridden by Chris Antley, came from off the pace to win the first division, covering 1 1/8 miles in 1:51 3/5 to beat Embracing by 4 1/2 lengths. Haunting paid $7.20 to win.

Grecian Pass, with Eddie Maple aboard, took the lead from favored Risen Colony after entering the stretch and went on to a five-length victory in the second division. Risen Colony finished second. The winner was timed in 1:52 and paid $16.20.

Favored Buckhar held off longshot Tin Can Ali to win the $100,000 Canadian Turf Handicap by a nose at Gulfstream Park.

Ridden by Jean Cruguet, Buckhar was timed in 1:48 2/5 and paid $7, $4 and $3. Tin Can Ali paid $22 and $11.

Lady’s Lark took the lead at the top of the stretch, then held off a late challenge by Reina to win the $35,000-added American Beauty Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

Lady’s Lark, ridden by Don Howard, finished a half-length in front of Reina after finishing the six furlongs in 1:10 3/5. Lady’s Lark paid $25.20.

Noholmes Barred won by a neck over Golden Phase in the $40,000-added Dancing Count Stakes at Laurel Race Course. Noholmes Barred was timed in 1:11 for the six furlongs and paid $12.
