Valley 73, Santa Monica 54--Falicia Stanley scored a game-high 19 points for the Lady Monarchs in a Western State Conference South Division game. Valley (24-3, 11-0 in conference play) has won nine in a row.

Leading, 32-29, early in the second half, Valley went on a 27-11 run over the next 9 minutes 54 seconds to take a commanding 59-40 lead with 6:30 to play.

Wendy Bruse scored eight points during the run and Katina Mines added six.

Valley led, 28-23, at halftime, although the Corsairs dominated inside by scoring eight of their 10 baskets from close range.

Danielle Hill scored 15 points for Santa Monica (18-7, 8-3), and teammate Marchelle Hedrick added 14.
