Music Makers: Music director-designate Christof Perick will be on hand today as the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra announces its 1992-93 season, Perick’s first. Expected high points are world premieres of works commissioned by the orchestra from Southern California composers Mel Powell and Donald Crockett, a Richard and Franz Strauss program led by Perick, a Bach program conducted by Helmut Rilling and appearances by outgoing music director Iona Brown and guest conductors Claudio Scimone, Heiichiro Ohyama and Tamas Vasary. The season runs Oct. 23-April 30.
