Holiday Closings

Monday is Presidents Day. Here’s a rundown of local closings in observance of the holiday: All city offices, except Westminster, will be closed. County, state and federal offices also will be closed.

County, state and federal courthouses will all be closed.

County and the city of Santa Ana libraries will be closed as will those in Anaheim; Newport Beach libraries will be open.

Banks and savings and loans will be closed.

All elementary, intermediate and high schools will be closed Presidents Day; Capistrano Unified, Santa Ana Unified and Orange Unified schools also will be closed today for Lincoln’s birthday.

Saddleback Valley Unified District schools will be closed from Monday through Wednesday; Laguna Beach Unified schools are closed all this week and will resume classes Tuesday; Orange Unified schools also will be closed next Friday in observance of Washington’s birthday.

All community colleges except Rancho Santiago will be closed today, to observe Lincoln’s birthday, and Presidents Day; Rancho Santiago College will be closed Monday only. UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton will be closed Monday; Chapman University will be open.

Mail: There will be no delivery Monday. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes on that day will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.

Trash: There will be regular trash pickup Monday.

Buses: Orange County Transit District buses will run on a regular schedule Monday.

Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours Monday.
