NEW SCHOOL CHIEF: The Montebello Unified District’s school board is expected to announce a decision on a new school superintendent at the board meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, 123 S. Montebello Blvd. in Montebello.
FIRST CONCERT--Huntington Park High School’s jazz choir, band and vocal group will hold their first winter pops concert at 7 p.m. Friday at the school’s Westover Hall, 6020 Miles Ave., Huntington Park. Suggested donation, $3.
BREAKING NEW GROUND: Dr. John Newman, author of “JFK and Vietnam” and author David Lifton of “Best Evidence” will speak on the controversy swirling around the Oliver Stone film “JFK” at Pasadena City College, Sexton Auditorium, 1570 E. Colorado Blvd., Saturday at 7:30 p.m. A donation of $10 is requested.
