Channel 2 Doesn’t Show First Half

Because of coverage of the fire in downtown Los Angeles Saturday morning, Winter Olympics programming on Channel 2 was thrown off schedule, and everything was delayed one hour.

To make up for the lost hour, the first half of the UCLA-Oregon game was missed. The Olympic coverage, although delayed later than scheduled, was shown in full.

A CBS spokesman in New York said the station is not required to carry all of the network’s Olympic coverage but “is encouraged to.”
