Reliever Duane Ward and the Toronto Blue Jays agreed to a one-year contract worth $2,425,000, triple his 1991 salary of $800,000.
Toronto also agreed to one-year contracts with outfielder Derek Bell, catcher Ed Sprague and first baseman Domingo Martinez.
