Writers Guild Picks TV, Radio Nominees

Gone but not forgotten: the canceled “thirtysomething” and “China Beach” grabbed four of the six nominations for best writing in an episodic drama Monday as the Writers Guild of America unveiled the TV and radio finalists for its 44th annual awards.

The awards, covering the period Sept. 1, 1990 to Aug. 31, 1991, will be announced during ceremonies March 22.

Incomplete name-- Racelle Rosett Schaefer’s name was given incompletely in an article listing nominees for Writers Guild of America awards in Tuesday’s Calendar. She is a nominee in the episodic drama category for “thirtysomething: Photo Opportunity.”
