Roseanne’s Complaint to Arbitration: The State Labor Commission declined to hear comedian Roseanne Barr Arnold’s complaint against her former talent agency, Triad Artists Inc., referring the action to arbitration by the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Writers Guild of America. Triad hailed the decision as a victory, saying it expects AFTRA and WGA to find Arnold’s claims without merit. But Arnold’s lawyer, who accuses Triad of cheating her out of $20 million in profits from her TV show, said the decision changes only the venue where the charges will be heard and does not affect her chances of victory.
