NEW FOCUS: After 22 years, the UCI Extension Women’s Opportunities Center today moves from its tiny quarters to a new 5,200-square-foot building on campus. The center still offers personal growth guidance, but will refocus on women, family and work. “Fifty percent of the work force is women,” says director Linda White, above. “Both men and women are looking to companies that are more progressive in extended leave time, pregnancy, childbirth, more flexible hours.”
