Yankee relief pitcher Steve Howe has asked a federal magistrate in Missoula, Mont., to suppress a handwritten confession to federal cocaine charges. Howe contends that the statement was “the product of coercion.”
Howe has pleaded innocent to charges of attempting to buy one gram of cocaine from an undercover agent and possessing two grams of cocaine.
