Day-care workers searching the pockets of a 2-year-old girl found 11 vials of crack cocaine that allegedly belonged to her mother’s boyfriend.

The 17-year-old boyfriend was arrested on charges of possession of crack and possession with intent to distribute, police said.

The vials were found at a day-care home after the girl’s mother, a 16-year-old high school student, asked a worker to check the child’s pockets.

The mother originally said the child picked the vials up off the street. But she later admitted she discovered them missing from an apartment windowsill and suspected her daughter took them.

Doctors told police there was enough cocaine in each vial to kill a child. The Department of Social Services took custody of the child pending an investigation.
