4 Men Rob Spa, Tie Up Employees
Four men entered a spa Monday evening and bound the employees before making off with more than $500, police said.
No suspects were in custody in connection with the robbery, which started about 6:42 p.m.
The robbery, at 17434 1/2 Beach Blvd., began when two men entered the spa requesting massages. Once inside the back rooms, one man pulled out a gun and told an employee, “Get down or I’ll shoot,” Sgt. William K. Martin said.
Two others entered the spa and bound the three employees and covered their heads with blankets. They then ransacked the spa’s office.
The robbers pistol-whipped one employee and slapped the others. No one needed medical treatment, Martin said.
