Pamela Hyland, a personnel analyst for the city of Huntington Beach, has been named Monterey Park personnel director. She began her job Wednesday, succeeding Mario Beas, who resigned in July to take a job in Long Beach.
Hyland, 39, who was selected from more than 60 applicants, will be paid $67,000 annually.
