Praising New Mexico
Last October my daughter and I took a great trip to New Mexico. We flew to Albuquerque, rented a car and did Taos and Santa Fe. We used David Wallace’s article (“Taos: Like Santa Fe Used to Be,” Sept. 15, 1991) and Jeff Frees’ (“New Mexico’s High Road Winds Into the Past,” June 9), along with the Auto Club’s New Mexico book. We stayed off the freeways, took the Turquoise Trail and the back road from Taos at Frees’ directions. The information was all excellent and we left New Mexico the last week in October just ahead of their first winter storm. I’ve sent the information on to my travel agent, who is planning a similar trip.
