Kresser/Craig Wins El Torito: The Santa Monica agency Kresser/Craig has been handed the estimated $5-million annual advertising business for the Irvine-based Mexican dinner house chain El Torito. Advertising was previously handled by the Santa Barbara agency Evans, Hardy & Young. Kresser/Craig--which also picked up the ad account for El Torito’s sister division, Casa Gallardo--will be adding staff as a result of the win, agency Chairman Bob Kresser said. The new campaign is scheduled to break in May, and the ad theme will be more closely focused on the quality of the food, said Dick Butler, executive vice president of the chain.
