VENTURA : Lovins and Means Appointed to Panel
A Chevron environmental coordinator has been chosen by the Ventura City Council to replace Neil Moyer on the Ventura Planning Commission.
The City Council voted Monday night to appoint James Lovins to the position. Although city officials said Moyer did not seek reappointment, the outspoken commissioner has said officials decided to remove him because of his criticism of the pro-business council.
The council also voted to appoint environmental consultant Carolyn Means to replace Planning Commissioner Gary Nasalroad, who stepped down. Commissioner Clark Owens was reappointed.
