LOS ANGELES COUNTY : Democrats Endorse Watson in Supervisorial Race
State Sen. Diane Watson, who with chief rival Yvonne Brathwaite Burke is seeking to become the first black elected to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, has received the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.
Watson and Burke are among 12 candidates who filed by Wednesday’s deadline to run in the June 2 election for South Los Angeles’ 2nd District seat being vacated by retiring Supervisor Kenneth Hahn.
Watson was endorsed by the county Democratic Central Committee.
