A San Diego man who raped and murdered his former employer was sentenced Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Troy Washington, 23, had been found guilty of first-degree murder in the Nov. 2, 1990, slaying of Deborah Barksdale, 38, of Linda Vista.
Barksdale’s body was found in the trunk of her car four days after her death. Washington had worked for her at her Barksdale Office Planning firm in the Rose Canyon area.
