Jazz Legend Has Operation

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. — Jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie will need up to two months to recover from surgery to remove an abdominal blockage, his manager says. Gillespie was reported resting comfortably Friday at Englewood Hospital, where he had the operation Thursday.
