Drive-By Gunshots Stump Police
Police are asking for help in solving a series of drive-by shootings in which a business’s front window has been fired at three times since New Year’s Eve, including once when employees were inside.
The latest incident occurred Thursday at 6:40 p.m. when a shot was fired once through the front window of Intertrade Aviation at 5722 Buckingham Drive while several employees were inside, Lt. Jeff Cope said.
No injuries were reported, he said.
The two previous shootings happened when the business was closed and no one was inside, Cope said.
In the first incident, which occurred between 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31 and 6:45 p.m. Jan. 1, shots were fired at the business several times with a small-caliber handgun, he said.
The second incident occurred in the early morning hours of Feb. 13, Cope said.
He asked anyone with information about the shootings to call police at (714) 536-5940 or (714) 960-8843.
