San Clemente Surfer Finishes Tied for Fifth
In four- to six-foot swells, Mike Parsons of San Clemente tied for fifth in the Beach Feet Open surfing contest Sunday at Pismo Beach.
Chris Brown of Santa Barbara won the event and $6,000. Taylor Knox of Carlsbad was second, Shane Dorian of Hawaii was third, and Peter Mel of Santa Cruz was fourth.
Parsons tied for fifth with Rob Machado of Cardiff.
