El Monte District Names Assistant
Robert Maez has been appointed assistant superintendent for educational services for the El Monte Union High School District, replacing Eugene Platz, who has retired.
Maez, currently principal of Mountain View High School, joined the district in 1967. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Cal State Los Angeles and has served as president of the California Business Education Assn.
