Details on Santana Concert

Santana, Pato Banton, and Jose Santana will perform Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Bullring by the Sea, Tijuana. Tickets are priced at $10 (shade), $15 (sun) and $20 (reserved), and can be purchased in advance at all TicketMaster outlets in the San Diego area (call 278-TIXS to charge). In Baja California, tickets can be purchased at the LF Racebooks in Tijuana, Ensenada, and Mexicali, and at Too Much Fun Promotions in Rosarito.

To get to the bullring, cross the border, take the Ensenada- Rosarito toll road south for about 6 miles to the Las Playas exit, which takes you to the bullring (you can see the bullring from the exit). Gates open at 1 p.m. both days, and, because the shows are expected to last until about 8:30 p.m., concert goers are advised to bring warm clothing.

There is limited parking at the bullring, but park-and-ride shuttles to the bullring can be taken each day for a nominal fee. The shuttle locations include the Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego (leaving at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.); the Sears parking lot (every 15 minutes) and the Park & Ride lot (every 15 minutes) in San Ysidro; the Hotel Rosarito in Rosarito (every hour), and the Guaycura Travel Agency in Ensenada (every hour). Be advised that the following items will not be allowed in the venue: cameras, recorders, video cameras, alcohol, bottles, cans or containers of any kind, chairs, weapons, pets.
