* Warner Bros. promoted two of its international theatrical executives on Thursday--in a move to beef up the division--after enjoying enormous success with the movie “JFK” overseas.
The Burbank-based studio, a division of Time Warner Inc., named Richard Fox to the newly created post of executive vice president for international theatrical enterprises. Wayne Duband, Fox’s No. 2 man, was named president of international theatrical distribution.
Fox has served as president of international theatrical since 1985. He joined Warner Bros. in 1975 as a management trainee. Duband joined Warner’s Australian office in 1969. He moved to Burbank in 1980 and has worked with Fox since 1985.
