MAC ARTHUR PARK : Man Kills 2nd Suspected Car Thief, Police Say
A MacArthur Park man who was exonerated in the shooting death of a suspected car thief in December shot and killed another man he thought was trying to break into one of his vehicles Thursday, police said.
Enrique Agraz, 53, is being held for investigation of murder after he shot a man in the garage at his apartment building on Carondolet Street at 3:30 a.m., police said.
The 34-year-old victim, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, died at the scene, investigators said. Agraz confronted the man after arming himself with a pistol and going to investigate why the alarm on his truck had gone off. In the December shooting, prosecutors determined that Agraz had acted in self-defense.
