OAK PARK : Panel to Consider Consultants’ Plans
A committee of Oak Park residents will consider choosing a consultant to study how police protection, street maintenance and other municipal services would change if the community of 13,000 becomes a city.
At a meeting Thursday, the cityhood steering committee will examine proposals by four different consultants offering to conduct the study.
The proposals range in price from $4,800 to $24,600, said Councilman Ron Stark, one of the committee’s five members. The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will have to approve the expenditure.
Thursday’s meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. at the office of Supervisor Maria VanderKolk, 199 W. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.
