An early morning fire broke out in the attic of a home Saturday, causing $100,000 in damage, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported, said the officials, who added that the cause was probably faulty electrical wiring.

Owner Rosemary Queseda said she was awakened by sounds on her roof at 401 Colton St. She thought it was an intruder and ran outside to a neighbor, who saw flames and called for help at 2:43 a.m.

Twenty-three firefighters responded and put out the fire within 20 minutes, officials said. Damage was estimated at $75,000 for the structure and $25,000 for the contents.
