Pop Album Chart : Leppard, the Boss Leap Over ‘World’

Share

It took Super Tuesday, the unusually big day of releases last week, to shove the “Wayne’s World” soundtrack and Garth Brooks’ “Ropin’ the Wind” off the top of the Billboard magazine album chart. The new top three: Def Leppard’s “Adrenalize” and the two Springsteen albums. Wynonna Judd’s first solo album, “Wynonna,” debuts at No. 4. A big surprise was “Totally Krossed Out,” the debut album by Atlanta rap duo Kris Kross, entering at No. 9. Vanessa Williams’ “Save the Best for Last” is still the No. 1 pop single.

* Fueled by the Oscar victories, the “Beauty and the Beast” soundtrack jumped from No. 36 to No. 19, while the title single climbed to No. 9 on the pop singles chart.
