Saturday Night Protest: Police in New York arrested six people who surged toward the stage during a live broadcast of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” to protest the movie “Basic Instinct,” whose star Sharon Stone was guest host. “We are protesting Hollywood’s homophobia and misogyny as exemplified in the film,” said James Wagner, a spokesman for the group. The protesters didn’t interrupt the show, but their voices could be heard during the opening monologue when Stone mocked a scene from the film.
