Finally, a flea market for those who don’t relish getting up at the crack of dawn to bag a bargain. The Chic & Cheap Antique Market draws antique buyers who want to shop in more of a comfort zone; here, on the last Saturday and Sunday of each month, you can have your cappuccino and croissant and browse, too.

Ziza Elrod Brown started this antiques fest in January, when she took a storefront near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a weekend and had vendors bring in everything from rugs and furniture to paintings and wrought-iron planters. “I felt there might be a need for something that had a lets-go-in-and-browse kind of feeling,” says Brown, who also sells antiques at the Sunset Boulevard Madeleine Gallay boutique. What she describes as the “fun frenzy” atmosphere has attracted such celebs as Timothy Dalton, Ali MacGraw and Barry Levinson, who all come for the thrill of the chase.
