Two Los Angeles men were arrested Thursday in connection with a restaurant shooting Easter Sunday that killed one man and seriously injured another, police said.

Jason Y. Kwon and Alexander Jang Kae, both 27, surrendered to detectives at the West Valley Police Station on the advice of their attorneys, said Det. Rick Swanston. Both were being held without bail on suspicion of murder in the death of Hong Keun Kim of Reseda.

Kim, 34, died Monday following the shooting at the Jajalchi restaurant in the 17700 block of Sherman Way in Reseda. Kim’s wounded drinking companion, In Kyung Park, 41, of Arleta, remained in serious condition Thursday at Holy Cross Hospital, Swanston said.

The early morning shooting began after Kim broke a glass and spilled some of its contents onto Kwon and Kae at the next table, Swanston said. The ensuing argument turned into a fistfight, and Kae pulled out a small-caliber semiautomatic pistol, which he fired into the bar ceiling, Swanston said. Kwon then took Kae’s gun and fired at Kim and Park, he said.
