* Dole Food Co. appointed Gerald W. LaFleur to the new post of executive vice president, office of the chairman. He will focus on long-term strategic issues for the Westlake Village food and real estate concern.
Since joining Dole in July, LaFleur, 59, had been without a title. He was previously a partner at the accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co.
