Nearly $35,000 was raised at Nebraska’s annual spring scrimmage to help a 23-year-old woman whom a Cornhusker player is accused of beating.
Nebraska Coach Tom Osborne said $34,832 was raised at Saturday’s Red-White game for Gina Simanek, who allegedly was beaten by Cornhusker running back Scott Baldwin.
