Dance Grants: Los Angeles-based Bella Lewitzky Dance Company will receive $225,000 over three years from the Lila Wallace-Readers Digest Fund as part of a $5.6-million program to increase audiences for American dance. Others receiving the new touring grants include Margaret Jenkins Dance Studio (San Francisco), Maria Benitez Spanish Dance Company (Santa Fe, N.M.), African American Dance Ensemble (Durham, N.C.), David Gordon/Pick Up Company (New York), Lar Lubovitch Dance Company (New York) and the Mark Morris Dance Group (New York). Six other companies currently receive multiyear touring support from the fund.
