BURBANK : Tentative OK Given for Seniors Housing

Share

The Burbank City Council has tentatively approved a proposal for a 121-unit senior citizen housing complex at Verdugo Avenue and San Fernando Boulevard.

Council members said they favored a proposal by Wesley Homes Inc. over three other plans submitted for the city-owned site.

They said the Wesley building would closely resemble the Wesley Tower office development across the street and would be a good match.

The same design, construction and management team worked on the Wesley Tower project, they said.

Council members, acting as the Redevelopment Agency, instructed city officials to immediately begin negotiations with Wesley Homes executives, saying they would like to see a development agreement by June.
