Change of Plans: Universal Pictures is holding up the release of “Looters,” an urban action-adventure film, and plans to change the title as well, in the wake of events in Los Angeles last week. “It’s necessary to change the title to ward off the chance of misperception about the film’s content,” a statement from Universal Pictures said. “Looters,” written by “Back to the Future’s” Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, is the story of two small-town firemen who come across local criminals while searching for stolen property in an abandoned East St. Louis tenement. The statement said the movie probably would not open this summer, but did not give a new release date. The film stars Bill Paxton, William Sadler and rap stars Ice-T and Ice Cube.
