RIOT AFTERMATH : Cities Collecting Relief Supplies
The cities of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood are collecting food and other supplies for victims of last week’s rioting.
Beverly Hills is accepting canned goods, baby food, disposable diapers, dry foods and tools from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Volunteers are also needed to staff the collection center at 447 N. Crescent Drive, Beverly Hills 90210. The phone number is (310) 285-1023.
West Hollywood will accept donations of food or clothing at two locations: the sheriff’s station at 720 N. San Vicente Blvd. and Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. Call (310) 854-7359.
In addition, West Hollywood is sponsoring a charity carwash to benefit the First AME Church “Relief Fund” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Plummer Park.
